Zafer ARICAN was born on June 30th,1980 in Isparta,Turkey. He received his BSc. and MSc. degrees in Electrical&Electronics Engineering at Middle East Technical University,Turkey on June 2002 and August 2004, respectively. He completed the minor program at Computer Engineering at the same university in August 2004. In 2005, he completed one-year pre-doctoral program on Computer, Communication and Information Sciences in EPFL, Switzerland.

Since November 2005, he is working towards his PhD degree at the LTS4 Lab. His research focuses on analysis and distributed processing of spherical images in networks of omnidirectional cameras.
